It’s been a really bad weekend for me. Friday evening I seriously bruised my foot after jumping from a stone staircase and landing at an angle. I couldn’t use the back of my foot for the whole weekend.
Thus, when I went shopping on Saturday, I parked just in front of the store inmidst of all the cheap family cars. And just after I had finished shopping, when I had pulled out again and was about to drive off, someone in the parking space to the right of me had the brilliant idea to skip that tedious head-turning before pulling out. He hit my car into the side.
The repairs will come in at about € 2,000 ($2,740 US) and leave me without a car for two weeks. And just when I thought it couldn’t get worse, the driver was phoned by my car dealer today, where he replied that he didn’t feel responsible.
I didn’t want to make a fuss and require a signed statement with names of witnesses. Well, my bad. I left a chance open for the guy to slip away and he took it. He could as well have claimed I power-drifted sideways into his car :]
